If you are using watering cans to water your plants, fill them up a few hours earlier so the water can come to the ambient outdoor temperature. Using water that is too hot or too cold can shock the plants and their root systems, producing lower yields. One trick we use is to fill the watering cans immediately after watering so they’re ready to go the next time you water.
