Aphids can among the most destructive of insects, sucking sap from your precious plants. There are over 4400 species of aphids identified. Here’s what you can do to get rid of them in your garden.

First, plant chives and garlic in your garden. They are both members of the onion family and help to reduce the chance of aphids coming and damaging your crops.  As an additional step, if you know your garden is at risk of attracting aphids, plant nasturtiums and keep a close eye on them. Aphids will be attracted to nasturtium plants first. You should then be able to control them with insecticidal soap and neem oil while your other veggies escape unharmed.
