Direct seeding plants like lettuce, chamomile, carrots, and other plants with small seeds can be challenging. One trick to make things easier is to place your seeds in an old spice jar with a perforated lid. As you shake the seeds out, it will be more controlled, allowing you to obtain a more optimal spacing pattern.
As an alternative, you can purchase seed tape that comes pre-spaced according to the type of plant. You can also make your own seed tape using toilet paper. We’ll cover this in a future tip.
