We know that plants need regular water in order to grow to their full potential. We also know that when we cook veggies we often boil or steam them and then pour the water down the drain. Instead, why not save the water (let it come to room temperature) then use the leftover water to water your plants? Not only do you save water, you’re also giving the plants extra nutrients from the “vegetable soup” mixture.
We love this tip as it reminds us of how we can do simple things to incorporate the three “R”s – reduce, reuse, recycle into our lifestyle.
