Slugs and snails love to eat your salad greens and can cause damage and problems to your garden. They prefer dark, damp areas, such as under a pile of fallen leaves. Take preventative measures against slugs and snails by keeping the soil free of debris (remove favorable habitats) and staking/tying up plants to promote good air flow. If slugs/snails are already an issue, you can remedy them by placing a small saucer of beer in the garden. Any kind of beer will do, and we find reusing takeout sauce containers to work very well. Simply pour in some beer and press the container so that the upper lip is flush with the soil line. They are attracted to the sugar/alcohol and fall in and drown. Remove slugs the next day.

How do you attatch the bells to the slugs they are sooo slippery?
