For GTA residents, Young Urban Farmers has a variety of services to get your edible garden set-up, planted, and maintained in tip-top shape. Whether it’s help with creating a garden design plan, help in setting up the garden, or help in taking care of the garden, you can signup for one of our service packages below or we can tailor something to suit your needs. All customers are automatically added to our monthly newsletter, which features recipes for utilizing the produce in your YUF edible garden, information on local farmers markets, and information on local eating.

Basic Service:

The basic service includes delivery, setup, and materials for your edible garden along with the initial round of soil / plants you have chosen. In addition, we will provide you with our vegetable growing guide which gives you lots of information on how to best take care of your plants. This is best suited for our smaller footprint gardens and raised beds with a limited varieties of vegetables to be planted. If a wide range of plants are selected, multiple rounds of planting may be required. Basic service gardens are setup starting in April.

Basic +:

Basic + service include the same features are the basic service, but with additional features. It includes two rounds of planting, which allow you to maximize garden yields if planting both cool weather crops (ex. peas) along with warm weather crops (ex. tomatoes) or for succession planting if only a few similar varieties are chosen. A mid-summer garden checkup is included where we assess the garden , give you additional tips and advice on caring for your garden, as well a emailed report with our feedback.

Premium service

Our premium service is recommended for beginner gardeners who want a bit of extra coaching and guidance along the way. It includes the same features as the basic and the deluxe service, but also includes 3-4 additional monthly checkups.

In-Garden Support

For the ultimate in gardening convenience, you can hire us to help you take care of the garden. This can include watering, weeding, pruning, harvesting, and general maintenance of the garden. We’ll design a program that fits in with your needs so you can enjoy the freshest veggies right from your yard. In-garden support is on a first-come first-served basis and priced on an hourly basis.
