On Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th, we participated in our second Seedy Saturday event of the 2014 season. This one was held at the Evergreen Brickworks – a fantastic green space in the heart of Toronto.
As part of the Seedy Weekend, a variety of workshops were held and YUF co-founder Chris Wong was asked to lead the first Saturday workshop on Natural Pest Control. In this workshop, Chris talked about the 4-stages of natural pest control starting with Cultural Controls, and moving on through physical controls, Biological Controls, and finally to Dusts and Sprays. On Saturday, we were able to connect with many of our past customers (thanks for coming by and saying hi!), some old friends, and lots of people in our Toronto urban farming community. We love going to these events and are always inspired after talking to such a wide range of people with a multitude of skills and backgrounds.
